CODE OF CONDUCT

Code of Conduct: FAQ

WHAT IS THE CODE OF CONDUCT?

We understand that all of us have different rules in our own homes, and these camp rules are not meant to offend anyone's own personal standards but to ensure a consistent environment in keeping with Christian principles and Florida College standards...

Language/Communication:

1. Do NOT bring electronics of any kind. They will not be allowed in the dorms or anywhere on the campus at any time. (Cell phones, iPods, iPads, mp3's, radios, portable speakers, laptops, etc.) Counselors will have a cell phone on their person for emergency access throughout the week. Any electronics that are discovered will be held by the counselor until the end of camp. Any exceptions (like medical) must be cleared through the directors only. This week of camp is the perfect time to "unplug" from the world and focus totally on your friends at camp!

2. Profanity will not be tolerated.

3. Talk, references, or innuendo about sex in any way will not be tolerated.

4. Campers should always talk in a respectful and cooperative way towards fellow campers as well as all staff.

Behavior:

1. The use of tobacco, alcohol, e-cigarettes, vaping, & drugs will not be tolerated.

2. Being disrespectful to staff or disobedient to rules will not be tolerated.

3. Each camper should be very respectful when coming in direct contact with others. At no time should anyone be touched in a private area of the body (the underwear zone).

4. Homosexual behavior or talk will not be tolerated.

5. We require that name-tags be worn at all times outside the dormitories.

6. No camper should be in possession of fireworks, weapons of any kind, or lighters.

7. Should any Florida College property, Camp Acapella property, or another's personal property be damaged by a camper, the parent/guardian of that camper will be held responsible for damages.

We believe that following these expectations will make for a fantastic week at camp.
